Information for people severely immunosuppressed attending a walk-in clinic
People who were severely immunosuppressed at the time of their first or second COVID-19 vaccination require a third primary dose. This can be given eight weeks after your second dose.
Please bring with you the letter from your GP practice in Calderdale which says you can access a walk-in clinic for this dose and proof of your condition.
If you have not received a letter and believe you should have, please contact your GP practice to discuss.
The third primary dose is not a booster.
If it has been 12 weeks since your third dose you are also eligible to a booster.
If you have recently had COVID-19 and want to attend a walk-in clinic
If you have recently had COVID-19 you need to wait before getting your vaccine. The wait is different depending on your age.
If you are over 18 and have had a positive COVID-19 test
- you need to wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting your first dose.
- you need to wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting your second dose.
If you’re 16 or 17 years old and you’ve had a positive COVID-19 test, you need to either:

12 to 15-year-olds who are eligible for a second COVID-19 vaccine but have had a positive COVID-19 test, must wait 12 weeks before getting their second dose.
