We run regular walk-in clinics. These change each week.

You do not need an appointment to attend.

Vaccinations are available on a first-come first service basis.

There may be queues and you may be asked to wait for your vaccination. You are advised to wear suitable clothing for the weather should you need to wait outside of our clinics and you may wish to bring some water.

Please read the clinic information before attending.

Who can attend the walk-in clinics in Calderdale?

  • People aged 12 years and over for their first dose (not all our walk-in clinics offer this service).
  • People aged 18 years and over for their second dose if it’s been 8 weeks since their first dose.
  • Young people aged 16 and 17 years old can get a second dose if it’s been 12 weeks since their first dose.
  • People who are immunosuppressed and require a third dose (not all our walk-in clinics offer this service).

Booster jabs are being offered some clinics.

Information for people severely immunosuppressed attending a walk-in clinic

People who were severely immunosuppressed at the time of their first or second COVID-19 vaccination require a third primary dose. This can be given eight weeks after your second dose.

Please bring with you the letter from your GP practice in Calderdale which says you can access a walk-in clinic for this dose and proof of your condition.

If you have not received a letter and believe you should have, please contact your GP practice to discuss.

The third primary dose is not a booster.

If it has been 12 weeks since your third dose you are also eligible to a booster.

If you have recently had COVID-19 and want to attend a walk-in clinic

If you have recently had COVID-19 you need to wait before getting your vaccine. The wait is different depending on your age.

If you are over 18 and have had a positive COVID-19 test

  • you need to wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting your first dose.
  • you need to wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting your second dose.

If you’re 16 or 17 years old and you’ve had a positive COVID-19 test, you need to either:

  • wait 12 weeks before getting a second dose
  • wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting a second dose if you’re at high risk from COVID-19

12 to 15-year-olds who are eligible for a second COVID-19 vaccine but have had a positive COVID-19 test, must wait 12 weeks before getting their second dose.

These periods of time start from the date you had symptoms, or the date of the positive test if you did not have any symptoms.
